Oregon Area Cares Community Coalition was formed in 2009 to address and focus efforts on underage drinking in the communities in the Oregon School District. The Coalition includes parents, business owners, school community, law enforcement agencies, faith organizations, health care professionals and government agencies. |

Our vision is a healthy, alcohol- and drug-free lifestyle for youth in the communities that are part of the Oregon School District. |

Our Core Values

Community-wide collaboration. We believe that local problems need local solutions with all members of the community having a voice to support positive change to create a healthy enviironment. We are committed to share knowledge and work with integrity and fairness.
Advocacy. Lastin positive change requires strong and informed voices advocating for youth and families so that our communities are places where youth can thrive.
Respect. We respect and celebrate the diversity of cultures and experiencs of the families and youth in our communities.
Empowerment. We work to empower those around us: coalition members, community members, and youth and family members, to lead by example and help and encourage change in our communities to create a healthy environment for teens to grow and thrive.
Support. Coalition members rely on and support each other as we work to prevent risky behaviors and support healthy lifestyles for youth in our communities. |
